Situated in an up-and-coming suburb, Hamlet settles in a gorgeous old postal village allowing us to establish a unique vision for the project ‘A Hidden Gem’
When branding Hamlet, we drew inspiration in the rich culture, diversity of the suburb, its close-knit community and ‘gems’ shared by locals to present this project as Melbourne’s best kept secret. The narrative extended beyond the projects suburb to celebrate its unique access to Melbourne, Melbourne Airport and Regional Victoria. A person representing each location share their gems in each place to continue the brand idea.
We built a flexible design system incorporating colour, illustration and rich photography to work across a range of print and digital channels. Beyond traditional collateral we created a tear away postcard in the brochure to promote the hidden gems (real businesses and places). We sponsored a local sporting team, supplied branded coffee cups to a local coffee shop and even welcome packs for new purchasers — all in the name of ‘community’.
